Designing with Care, Connecting with Community

Sarah Bedwell has been part of SPACE for several years, completing her Part III studies with the practice and achieving her Architect certification along the way. A friendly and calming presence in the office, Sarah is known among her colleagues for her dependable and supportive nature, often acting as a trusted point of contact for younger architects and apprentices.

Sarah is an integral member of Team Three. Primarily working in the education sector and on Lidl mixed-use schemes comprising retail and residential elements, she is a strong believer in architecture’s responsibility to give back to the communities it serves.

Sarah is always willing to step forward and support wherever needed, and plays an active role in strengthening the culture of the studio. Most notably, she played a key role in working with students at Callerton Academy to recreate their new school in gingerbread form, supporting a charitable cause while engaging directly with the next generation.

In her personal life, Sarah enjoys arts and crafts and playing the piano, and she is an enthusiastic baker. This passion carries into the workplace, where she coordinates and adjudicates the annual SPACE Bake Off, bringing colleagues together through creativity and good humour.
