Assistant BIM Manager
Streamlining Workflows, Ensuring Compliance
Joining SPACE Architects as Assistant BIM Manager in 2025, Cameron McAuly-Brand focuses his energies on the orchestration of BIM across projects, with a keen eye for coordination, information flow and model excellence. His aim is to refine and strengthen systems that make BIM processes ever more efficient, aligned and resilient throughout the practice.
With a primary focus on education projects, Cameron takes on the vital responsibility of managing clash detection in the earliest stages of a project, ensuring alignment with industry benchmarks such as ISO 19650. His previous role as an Architectural Technologist saw him work across a diverse range of schemes before finding his calling in BIM management.
Projects Cameron has contributed to include Durham Academy, the Constabulary Investigative Hub, Durham NETPark Phase 3a and education schemes such as Great Park Academy and Hartlepool Free School. Since joining SPACE, he has focused primarily on major education projects including Appleby Grammar School, Benton Park, Durham Academy, Thornhill Academy and Woodlands Academy.
Confident and capable in his specialism, Cameron has successfully transitioned coordination efforts across all education projects to Revizto. He has also collaborated with BIM Technologies to pilot their new BWIC Fire Schedule, which is set to be rolled out across the practice.
In his personal life, Cameron is an avid runner and is currently training for a 110km ultra marathon around Loch Ness in 2026. He also enjoys travelling, with Patagonia in South America next on his list. His desire to test limits and his quiet determination are evident in his professional approach, where he is trusted to manage complex BIM processes and ensure smooth operations during the early stages of large-scale projects.
