A Curious Mind with a Collaborative Spirit

Recently welcomed into the 2025/26 Graduate Cohort, Maksim Spirkin has quickly found his stride as a Graduate Architectural Technologist at SPACE. Following his master’s studies in Aberdeen, he was drawn to the practice by its ethos of compassion and commitment to uplifting the local community.

Eager to deepen his understanding of architectural detailing and professional practice, Max has already contributed to a variety of commercial projects, embracing each new challenge with enthusiasm. As part of Team Two, he has proven himself to be dependable and proactive, always willing to support colleagues, take on responsibility and give new ideas a try. His openness to learning and steady commitment to personal development mark him as someone keen to build a long and considered career within the profession.

Max’s appreciation for architecture began with his love of building with LEGO, a hobby he still enjoys in his spare time. Other interests include gaming, bouldering and reading mystery novels, reflecting his curiosity and enjoyment of problem-solving. This inquisitive mindset carries into his work, where he approaches tasks with patience, focus and a willingness to explore different solutions.

Naturally thoughtful and quietly personable, Max may be reserved at first, but his friendly nature quickly becomes evident. As the latest addition to the team, he brings a plethora of fresh perspectives and ideas, already establishing himself as a valued and reliable member of the SPACE Architects studio.
