With a Passion for Breathing Life Into Designs. 

Josh Banks first entered the design and construction industry in 2016 through a university placement, working on small-scale residential and educational projects.

This experience gave him a strong foundation in traditional construction methods and supported his progression toward a degree in Architectural Technology.

Throughout this time, Josh honed his communication skills by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients. His interest in the profession stems from a passion for how buildings are designed and constructed, particularly the technical elements that bring designs to life.

More recently, Josh has particularly enjoyed working on education projects, including medium- to large-scale schools delivered using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), utilising a modular panelised system. These complex projects required innovative problem-solving to meet diverse educational needs and technical challenges.

At SPACE Architects, Josh supports the development of technical standards for a fully modular construction system aligned with the DfE's CF25 framework. He also contributes to live school projects through technical detailing, BIM coordination, and design development, demonstrating his advanced technical BIM modelling expertise.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys travelling to historic cities, experiencing different cultures and cuisines, relaxing on holidays, and spending time with friends and family.
