David Robinson

Associate Architectural Technologist

Assuring Project Quality with Ease.

As an Associate Architectural Technologist, David Robinson brings an innovative spark to every project, shaping the technical design of buildings from the first sketch to the final handover. Specialising in education projects, he crafts detailed specifications and curates’ technical drawings that transform concepts into real-life results.

David’s creative flair is amplified by his technical understanding of BIM. David’s experience as a BIM and technical manager enhanced his expertise, enabling him to deliver compliant COBie assessment data, ensure ISO 19650 standards, and lead clash detection on high-profile projects. This hands-on approach sparked his passion for Dynamo, the visual programming tool that transforms complex workflows and drives efficiency in drawing production, quality assurance, and asset data verification.

Since joining SPACE, David has acted as Technical Lead on several educational projects, including Woodham Academy in Newton Aycliffe, Woodlands Academy in Scarborough, and Thornhill Academy in Sunderland (the latter is set to be completed in 2027). Each of these educational projects deliver a unique solution to sustainability and accessibility.

Beyond the four walls of the office, David is an avid enjoyer of sports, particularly football, golf, cricket, and darts, all of which he used to partake in himself. Once a keen traveller, and still occasionally exploring the world when he has the chance, David is more often found at home with his two young children.
