SPACE Celebrates Success at Generation4Change Awards

The SPACE Architects team recently attended the Generation4Change (G4C) Awards 2025, and it was an evening filled with pride and celebration. Earlier in the year, we were pleased to announce that several talented members of our team were shortlisted for these prestigious awards, which recognise and celebrate the achievements of young professionals and mentors in the industry.

Brook Wilkinson and Jade Atkins were recognised for their dedication and skills, earning nominations for Technical Apprentice of the Year. David Wise's commitment to nurturing talent was acknowledged with a nomination for Mentor of the Year. Excitingly, Catherine Sinclair was shortlisted for the G4C Future Leader Award.

The standard of entries this year was considered exceptionally high, a testament to the wealth of emerging talent within the North East. We were incredibly proud to see our team's hard work and contributions acknowledged by G4C North East and Tees Valley, the sponsors, and the judging panel.

The awards ceremony at the Hilton Hotel on Friday, May 2nd, was a great success for SPACE Architects. We are thrilled to announce that Catherine Sinclair won the acclaimed G4C Future Leader Award.

Catherine shared her excitement, stating, "I feel honoured to have won the G4C Future Leader Award. It is a testament to the exciting and innovative work that I am undertaking as part of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership with SPACE Architects and Northumbria University. Having a platform within SPACE to encourage low carbon decision making, both internally and externally, embedding sustainability into projects and making the topic accessible for all is extremely important, and I am proud to have been recognised by G4C for this work."

Director David Wise also expressed his pride, commenting,"Huge congratulations to SPACE Architects' Catherine Sinclair for winning the G4C North East Future Leader award at this evening's ceremony. Recognition also goes to my fellow nominees, Brook Wilkinson and Jade Atkins, among all the other candidates and winners. It was a genuine pleasure to see a room packed with so many talented young people, all invested in the future of our industry."

Brook Wilkinson added,"A lovely evening at the North East G4C Awards was had by all. Thanks go to those who ran and contributed to the event. It is such a privilege to be shortlisted amongst great people within our region for Technical Apprentice of the Year. Congrats to all nominees and winners, especially my colleague, Catherine Sinclair, for winning the G4C Future Leader Award, which is so well deserved for all of your innovative work and research."

The evening highlighted the dedication and talent of the SPACE Architects team. We extend our warmest congratulations to Catherine on her well-deserved win and to Brook, Jade, and David for their nominations.
